Christmas Projects with Air Dry Clay: Reindeer Bobble Head

Clay House Art's Christmas Classics Series continues as our team features Christmas projects to add a homemade element to your Christmas festivities. Rudolf is always a Holiday staple and we're happy to present a special iteration on a classic:

Reindeer Bobble Head

 

 

 

Here's what you're going to need

2 in 1 Light Clay (WhiteRed, BrownGreenBlueBlackPink)

Reindeer Bobblehead Armature

Clay Tools

Procedure:

1. Use the white clay to cover the ground Rudolf will be standing on. Making sure not to cover the areas where his body will attach to the ground

2. Take the brown clay and wrap Rudolf's body, leaving space at the bottom of his legs. At the bottom take the black clay to make his hooves. 

3. Pinch off pieces of black clay a decorate Rudolf's body with black patches of fur. Place the body on top of the ground

4. Mix some of the brown and black clay and cover Rudolf's antlers leaving some space for his ears. Using the brown clay cover Rudolf's head and the ear portion on his antlers

5. Make Rudolf's eyes and add any other details to his head before attaching the antlers. Then attach the antlers to the head and the head to the body

6. Decorate with a festive Christmas hat and bell

7. Add the Christmas Essentials like Candy Canes Gifts and Presents, and a Snowman to liven up the scene 

8. Congrats you're FINISHED
